Connector not working in Claude or ChatGPT? Fixes

Fixes when Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Hermes won't connect to Senpi: API keys, the Codex name, sign-in timeouts, missing tools and slow replies.
Use this page when Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Grok Bot, Hermes or Muse won't connect to Senpi, or connects but doesn't do what you expect. The setup steps for each app are in How to connect Senpi to Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Hermes.

https://agents.senpi.ai/mcp. - You're signed in at senpi.ai in the same browser, and your agent is deployed.
- You chose Allow on the Senpi page.
Common issues
Where do I get a Senpi API key?
Cause
Connectors sign in with your Senpi account, and the connector doesn't accept API keys.
Fix
Add the address in your app and choose Allow on the Senpi page.
Why does the Senpi page say Codex instead of ChatGPT?
Cause
The ChatGPT desktop app signs in through its Codex client.
Fix
This is expected. Choose Allow.
Why did the sign-in page time out?
Cause
Hermes and the ChatGPT desktop app sign in through your own computer and stop waiting after a couple of minutes.
Fix
Run the connect step again and choose Allow straight away.
Why don't Senpi's tools show after connecting?
Cause
The app hasn't reloaded its tools yet.
Fix
In Hermes, send /reload-mcp. In other apps, start a new chat.
Why does my app say chat access wasn't granted?
Cause
The connection was allowed without chat access.
Fix
Revoke the app in Connectors > Connected apps, then connect again and allow chat.
Why does Claude still show Senpi as connected after I revoked it?
Cause
Claude keeps its own copy of the connector.
Fix
Remove the Senpi connector in Claude, then add it again.
Why is my request taking so long?
Cause
A turn through your agent can take about 45 seconds, and Quant Desk runs longer. The app checks back for the answer.
Fix
Wait for it. Don't send the same request again, because that can start a second run, such as a second trade.
Where did my approval go?
Cause
Approvals expire after 10 minutes, and the action doesn't happen.
Fix
Ask again when you're ready to answer it.
Why did my agent stop answering?
Cause
Your AI credits ran out, or your free trial ended.
Fix
Top up or choose a plan in Senpi. See AI credits and your free trial.
Still stuck?
Revoke the app in Connectors > Connected apps, remove it from the AI app, and connect again from the start.
