Senpi Samurai and Samurai Pro
Updated Aug 13, 2026 · 4 min read
Samurai is Senpi's own model, built for Hyperliquid. What it does, how Samurai Pro differs, and what you can now ask it for.
When you ask your Senpi agent a question, Samurai is what answers. It is Senpi's own model, built for Hyperliquid trading rather than adapted to it, and it comes in two grades: Samurai and Samurai Pro.
Key takeaways
- Samurai is Senpi's own model, built specifically for Hyperliquid trading.
- Samurai handles fast everyday work. Samurai Pro carries deeper reasoning for strategies and multi-step workflows.
- Most agent conversation today runs on Samurai Pro.
- Ask in plain language. Name the asset or the strategy and say what you want done.
- Agent conversation draws on AI credits.
What Samurai is
General-purpose assistants learn about trading second. Samurai was built the other way round. Hyperliquid's mechanics are native to it: perps and spot, margin and leverage, funding, liquidation, order types, sub-wallets, and how a strategy is actually put together.
What that buys you is less setup in every conversation. Name an asset, a position or a strategy and the agent already knows what you mean. You are not spending your first messages explaining the venue before you can ask the question you came to ask.
Samurai and Samurai Pro
Option A
Samurai
- Fast and efficient for everyday trading tasks.
- Reading your portfolio, checking open positions, answering account questions.
- Best when you want one straight answer and you want it now.
Option B
Samurai Pro
- Deeper reasoning for strategies and multi-step workflows.
- Building a strategy from a market read, analyzing an existing book, reviewing closed trades.
- Best when the question has several moving parts and the answer has to hold together across all of them.
VerdictMost agent conversation today runs on Samurai Pro.
The split is about the size of the job. Short factual questions were always well served. What changed with Samurai Pro is multi-step work, where each step depends on the one before it.
Where the deeper reasoning shows
- Building a strategy from a market read
- Start from what the market is doing, not from a blank form. Ask for the read first, then ask for a strategy shaped around it. The reasoning carries from one step into the next instead of the two being treated as unrelated requests.
- Analyzing an existing book
- Hand over everything you currently hold and ask where the real risk sits. Concentration you did not intend, positions that quietly move together, margin that looks comfortable until one leg goes against you.
- Reviewing closed trades
- Point it at trades you have already closed and ask what the pattern is. Entries, exits, sizing, the ones you cut early and the ones you held too long. It is the review most traders mean to do and never sit down to finish.
How to ask
There is no syntax to learn. Direct phrasing works best: say what you want, name the asset or the strategy, and say what you want done about it.
| What you want | Ask for it like this |
|---|---|
| A strategy built from a market read | Read the market for me, then build a strategy that fits what you are seeing |
| A second opinion on your open book | Look at my open positions and tell me where my real risk is |
| A review of trades you have already closed | Go through my closed trades and tell me what I keep repeating |
| A view on one asset before you size in | What does positioning look like on ETH right now, and where is it crowded |
| A fast account answer | What is my current margin usage |
Analysis, not a promise
A deeper read is still a read. Samurai Pro can lay out the case for a trade and the risk on either side of it. It does not know what the market will do next. The decision stays yours, and so does the sizing.
What it does not change
Better reasoning does not widen what the agent is allowed to do with your money. You are the sole owner of your wallet. Senpi holds a signer key, not ownership, and cannot take custody of your funds. Strategies still run in their own sub-wallets with their own capital, exactly as described in Strategy types and the sub-wallet model.

Credits
Talking to your agent draws on AI credits. New accounts get a one-time grant of free trial credits, which activates when you deploy your agent and expires 30 days later. AI credits and your free trial covers how the balance works and what happens as it runs down.
